Frequently Answered Questions

Q. How do I place a bid?

A.  From the item listing, enter your MAXIMUM bid in the box and press the Place Bid button.
This auction website is set up to let you “set it and forget it”, meaning that once you enter your maximum bid, it will start your bidding at $1 above the previous bid. Then, when someone tries to bid against you, it will automatically increase your bid to stay in the lead by $1 until your maximum bid is reached. At that point, any higher bids will replace you as this high bidder.

For example, let’s say the current bid on something called “MY FAVORITE ITEM” is $10. You’re willing to $75 for this item, so you submit a maximum bid of $75. When someone else comes to bid on MY FAVORITE ITEM, they might be willing to pay $35 for it. They enter that amount, and they’re quickly notified that they have been outbid. The new high bid is set to $36, and you remain in the lead. Eventually, another bidder decides that they are willing to bid $100 for MY FAVORITE ITEM. When they submit their maximum bid at $100, you will be notified that you have been outbid, and they become the winning bidder with a current bid of $76.

Q. How do I register for the auction?

A. First, go to this page: https://adsauction.org/wp-login.php?action=register
Next, choose a Username (used for logging in to the website, and also is used as your Bidder Name) and provide your preferred email address.
Then click the Register button.
You will receive an email from the website that contains a link to create your password. Use that link to create your password and log in to the website.
That’s it! You’re now ready to bid. You will need to make sure that you first Log In before you attempt to place any bids.

Q. I won several items. How do I check out with all of my wins?

A. (Answer coming soon)

Q. When will my items ship?

A. While each auction is different, most non-daylily (or non-living) items will ship within a week or two of payment being made. All items are typically shipped by the person or group who donated them, and so the availability to ship can vary. Once the auction ends and payments are processed, we provide a list of the winners and shipping addresses to those who have donated to the auction. We ask them to communicate with the winners as-needed and as-possible. If you have won and paid for items and have questions about when they will arrive, please feel free to contact us through this site and we will forward the questions along to whomever can help.
